Oslo is a wonderful city to visit in May. It is the 2019 European Green Capital, the fastest growing capital city in Europe, and is frequently rated at the top of quality of living indexes. Some of Oslo's biggest attractions include the Oslo Opera House, the Royal Palace, City Hall, the islands of the Oslo Fjord, the long harbour promenade, viking ships, and more.
The 17th of May is Norway’s Constitution Day and biggest national holiday. It is a unique chance to experience Norwegian culture and the many public celebrations planned to take place all over the city of Oslo, including its downtown center. TRANSPORTATION FROM THE AIRPORT TO THE GRAND HOTEL
Oslo Airport (Gardermoen) is approximately 50 km north of Oslo.
We encourage you to get the Airport Express train (flytoget). Trains leave around every 10 min and takes you to the “Nasjonaltheatret” station (National Theatre) in under 25 min. Once off the train, follow exit signs to Karl Johans gate, where the Grand Hotel is located on the left-hand side of the street- approx. 100 metres.
For further information, the airport provides support from its information desk in the arrivals hall, once past baggage claim and customs. If you wish to take a taxi, the drive takes about 50 minutes and costs around 800 NOK (75 EUR) to reach the Grand Hotel. All taxis accept credit cards.

TRANSPORTATION DURING THE SUMMIT
We encourage all participants to walk between venues during the Summit, the distances range between 500 meter (5-6 min walk) to 1.5km (20 min walk). We will provide bus transportation from the Conference (DOGA) to the Award Ceremony (Oslo City Hall).
